Music

Here’s what I’ve got so far.  There’s plenty more to come…I’ve got a whole lot written.  Just a matter of recording it all!  What I’ve decided to do is release a living, breathing, evolving “superdemo,” to which I will gradually add songs until they number about twelve, at which point the superdemo will undergo a sudden metamorphosis and transform into a beautiful butterfly full-length album.  For the time being, you can download individual tracks for a dollar a piece, or the entire lot (currently eight tracks) for six dollars.  What a steal!

Oh, that reminds me, if you do happen to steal my music, it’s totally okay and not illegal at all (see below†).

Also, I’ve given you the option to overpay in case you really, really like me (*cough*donatedonatedonate*cough*).

†Oh, yeah.  I should also mention that all of my music is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial License.  What does that mean?  It means I’m giving you full permission to stream, perform, and give away copies of my songs to people without paying me a red cent, as well as permission to create your own derivative works based on my songs (remixes, music videos, artwork, translated versions, TV shows, movies, governments, religions, parades, etc.).  There are only two rules:

  1. Don’t charge money for my music or any derivative works on which it is based
  2. Give me due credit (i.e. somewhere in your work, say something like, “This sweeping epic is based on an original song entitled “The Satan Song” by Matt Glaz at mattglaz.com )

Even these two rules can be broken, as long as you get specific permission from me.  You can find the official version of the license here and the SUPER-DUPER official version here.

Also, you can find out more about Creative Commons in general by clicking here.  It’s a really neat organization that is essentially changing the world for the better by making people feel more and more like they can be creative without the constant, paralyzing fear of being sued.

Enjoy the songs!

Well, the ones I posted are the only ones I’ve finished so far. I’m going to be posting songs as soon as I’m done with them. Sci-Fidentity should be coming fairly soon. Summer Rain may be further down the line. I’ve got a long list of songs to record.

I like the remix of Ketchup, it really cleaned up nicely. Your voice is now a lot more clear

  7. Hey buddy, outstanding composition on the drum trax for SUMMER RAIN! Luv the new git work! I am searching for the original files when we cut this years ago, but I do know where the radio edit is so I’m going to send it over to you tomorrow. Again, great job on the drum composition! Talk to you soon. Cheers.

Oops! I just noticed this comment! Thanks for the compliment! It’s cool to hear that from someone who really knows what he’s doing. I definitely look forward to hearing that early mix. It’ll be interesting. Later!
